Happy New Year! Great to be back at WRQ, I’ve missed so many meetings recently. It’s good to see everyone, old & new members. I love how everyone chats to each other sharing hints & tips (as well as just chatting!). I always learn something new, occasionally I can pass on the odd tip too! Check out the meetings review and photos in Show & Tell.

Foundation Pieced Christmas Tree
I was so disappointed to miss yet another meeting, the Foundation Pieced Christmas Tree meeting with Nadine Paver on 23rd November. I gather it went really well.

Disappearing 9 Patch Workshop
We had a great day today at Kate’s Disappearing 9 Patch workshop. What a variety of fabrics and designs! I can’t wait to see the finished quilts.
See Workshops for photos of our ‘work in progress’.

Our Arboretum goes to The Harrogate Quilt Show
Our mini tree quilts, which were such a success at our quilt show in May, are to be displayed at the Harrogate Quilt Show 16th - 18th September at The Great Yorkshire Showground. Go along to see them and enjoy looking at fabulous quilts, seeing demonstrations, check out the Traders stalls and sign up to a workshop. Hope to see you there!

Our last meeting of 2021/22
It’s been a great year for White Rose Quilters - we have all enjoyed getting back to meeting up in person again after the virtual Covid meetings of the past couple of years. We have been inspired & have learned new skills. Our Quilt Show in May was a great success and following it, we were thrilled to welcome several new ladies to the group last night. I hope they enjoyed the session and look forward to seeing them in September when we resume meetings. At the meeting, we started to make an appliqué Beach Hut mini quilt from a Lesley Price pattern. Everyone seemed to enjoy starting the project and I look forward to posting photos of the quilts once they are completed at home.
