WHITE ROSE QUILTERS SHOW AT ST CHAD'S CHURCH
Our quilt show was a great success. We were thrilled by the feedback from visitors who used words such as ‘beautiful’, ‘amazing’, ‘fabulous’ as they looked round at the quilts. We had over 100 visitors each day who not only enjoyed the quilts but also the wonderful home made cakes! Our refreshments proved a great success too. I hope visitors took time to look at the stand of our chosen Charity, YorKit. A project providing washable, easy to use feminine hygiene kits for girls and women in developing countries.
Many thanks to St Chads Church for the use of their Church and hall.
Thanks too to our excellent traders;

A great first day of our show. We've had lots of people through the doors to admire our quilts and sample our home made cakes!
We're delighted to have three Traders; Viking Loom, Bugweeds and Cotton Cocktails. Many thanks to them and to members who have donated prizes for our raffle.
Here's a few of photos taken today, I will post photos of all the quilts tomorrow after our second day.

Happy raffle winner |
What can I say, we had a great day and managed to raise over £1000 after all the expenses had been taken off.
A big thank you to all the members who came to help and gave us their quilts and wall hangings to display.
A big thank you to our sponsors, Chartered Accountants PCLG and Financial Planners Pen Life, both local firms, without whom we would not have raised so much money.
A big thank you to Cotton Cloth Fabrics and Katy,s Quilts at Silver Thimble for their help with the raffle quilt. Both donating the fabric for the quilt and the skilled long arm quilting which finished it off and made it a great first prize.
So I will just add the photographs so that if you didn't make it to the exhibition you can see what you missed.
