There was a good turnout for the fabric Christmas Cracker making evening. I lead the session and had positive feedback from the group. I was delighted that people could understand my instructions and many ladies actually managed to complete their own cracker! There were lots of interesting’Show & Tell’ items including possible workshop projects. A good evening all round.
A small group of members met up at the Quilting Retreat. All were happy to have the opportunity to make progress on their projects. We look forward to seeing the finished pieces.

I nearly forgot to mention WRQ quilting retreat on Saturday 29th April! Folks can work on quilts for care leavers or bring along their own project to work on. Contact any committee member if you’re interested, there are still a couple of places. Look forward to seeing you there - St Chads Church hall.

Our meeting on the 22nd welcomed Heather Audin, curator of the QG Museum Collection who was to tell us about the variety of items in the collection. Unfortunately I tested Covid positive so I couldn’t go to the meeting! So disappointed.
Happy New Year! Great to be back at WRQ, I’ve missed so many meetings recently. It’s good to see everyone, old & new members. I love how everyone chats to each other sharing hints & tips (as well as just chatting!). I always learn something new, occasionally I can pass on the odd tip too!
